Congratulations to four-time Olympian hockey forward Julie Chu!

Even though the U.S. women’s hockey team narrowly lost the gold medal match to Canada, Chu was chosen by her fellow athletes to be the flagbearer in last night’s closing ceremony. Sochi will be Chu’s last Olympics.

On this day in 1965, Malcolm X was assassinated during an address at the Audubon Ballroom in New York City.
